I am interested in attending Capernwray, has anyone any comments...?
Hi Laura, My name is Jordan and I went to Capernwray from September of 2003 to June of 2004 and I will say that it was the most incredible experience of my life! The teaching that you get, the friends that you make and the culture you get to experience, really make it an unbelievable year! I will say that the first six months of school were the absolute hardest of my life. Mostly because there were things that I needed to work on in my life, and being there, God absolutely kicked my butt, and there were times when I wanted to quit, but I didn't and spring school ended up being the most incredible of my life! God was telling me to apply everything that I had learned and it was time that was focused on love, encouragement and friendship. The friends that I made this last year at Capernwray, are and will be my best friends for the rest of my life. Laura, I would recommend this school with all of my heart! There is nothing like it, nothing at all! So hopefully this helped you a little bit. You can email if you have any questions, or if you'd like, you may call me. My number is (765)998-5836. I would love to talk to you about Capernwray, God bless, Jordan |

how do you know about the other ministry? did you attend a course there? i am interested....[ quoted] At 8:59:14 PM 14/03/04, an old student wrote: You might give thought to doing say winter school then going to these folks for some course. They do a long 6-9 month school in addition to short courses and healing retreats. The main difference is they teach about healing and deliverance to a greater extent and are not really a bible school.I would certainly reccomend them. http://www.ellelministries.org/home.htm ========================== Anon. email me if you want,it would be a pleasure to chat; anoldstudent00@hotmail.com [/quoted] |

Laura, I just wanted to say that I loved going to Capernwray!! I attended the one in England and I am from Michigan in the U.S. As long as your open to new things I would definitely suggest attending!! I know that I have really missed it lately...and you wil meet so many people from all over the world!! I have to say that after being there I have made so many life long friends and my world view has opened up completely. I hope you decide to go. Good luck with making this decision. God Bless, Kat

I am also interested in attending a Capernwray Bible School. Everybody seems so young though. I am 34 and have obviously been away from home for many years etc. Will there be other students around my age? I have many friends much younger than me but i would feel very self conscious if everyone was so much younger than me. |

I was a student 10 years ago when I was 27. Most students are younger, but there are usually / always some older ones too. Now I'm on staff, I still see older students this year. 30's, 40's 50's. It's still a great experience - and a brilliant opportunity to learn regardless of age. |

Hey Angela, I didn't attend the school in Spain, but I travelled to Spain and Portugal 3 years ago. It was beautiful country with an awesome culture, and amazing people. If you love anything Spanish like I do, then you will love it there. Chill'n

I attended Capernwray Hall in 1967-68. This school was one of the best things that I ever have done. The school is evangelical and very solid. The school is co-ed but very holy and does not tolerate immorality yet is not legalistic. I was from California, but today am a prison chaplain and commercial plumber and live in Colorado with my wife DeAnn and have a son Zac and a beautiful daughter Faith. Capernwray will help you get a grip on your practical Christian walk with the indwelling Christ. Sincerely in Christ, Rickey............. At 04:03:37 AM 20/05/03, Laura wrote: I am starting into my last year of high school and have begun my long and painful search of colleges. Although I am from the USA I am extremely interested in colleges in the UK. If you have any comments, information, or have attended this college or others, please email me! I'd love to hear from you!! Hey, I just wanted to know more about Rio Vida. I have been to Austria for the Upward Bound program...that was a year ago, know I am seriously considering going to Rio Vida. So if you have any more insight about the school that would be greatly appreciated. Thanx!! ~Justin~ |

This is really neat reading all your comments! I too was thinking about Capernwray, it sounded like a great place to go. I have a question: What about the two schools in Colorado? Does anybody know about them? I am from the USA and it sounds more close to home then going all the way to England. What is that like, going to far away? |

I have the same question! I was looking exclusivly at Ravencrest (the Tourchbearers school in CO), but after reading all these great comments, I'm thinking about going to CH. Has anyone here been to Ravencrest, and would you recomend it? |
