WEEK 1: SIMON BURIN
I had the privilege of being a student at Capernwray Hall and it genuinely established a solid biblical foundation within my Christian journey and ministry. So I am super excited to give something back. I am married, have two kids and one dog. I grew up in Sunderland, trained as an engineer before studying Theology in Bournemouth. I love football, and dream to see Sunderland win at Wembley! I never used to follow Jesus, until I encountered God. Now my life is bent on seeking and serving Him.
WEEK 2: MARK FYFE
Mark is the Youth Pastor at Kirkintilloch Baptist Church in Glasgow and loves working with young people. He has a heart for communicating God’s Word in a relevant way and seeing young people grow in faith. He is married to Sarah and they have two wee rascals; Jonah (aged 4) and Elijah (aged 2). When his sons aren’t absorbing his free time, Mark enjoys escaping to the outdoors, especially snowsports in winter which is a throwback to his past life as an outdoor instructor at Abernethy.
WEEK 3: JON BILTON
Jon is a trained teacher and has been at Capernwray a number of times over the last few years. He greatly combines biblical truth with humour. Jon is also greatly skilled in making the text come alive and practically applying it to everyday situations. He has been a firm favourite with past International Youth Week guests and we are excited to welcome here again this year.
International Youth Weeks is a great holiday where you get to meet Christians from all around the world.
Capernwray is such a cool place and there is always lots of things to do.
This holiday has given me a time to nourish my Christian faith and to remind me of the excitement of having a relationship with God.
If you are considering sending under 18 year olds and have any questions please contact us before booking. Once you have sent your child’s booking form and deposit we will send you a Parental Consent form, or you can download below and email it with your booking form. We require that this is completed and returned to us at least two weeks before the beginning of the holiday. This allows us to fully prepare for your child’s arrival, based upon their particular needs.
